Rocky Mountain and Narrow Gauge Railway Adventure

Boarding our comfortable CSU bus on Tuesday, July 20th promptly at 8:45am, we will leave promptly at 9:00am for a scenic drive to the quaint little Victorian Village of Georgetown.  Arriving at Devils Gate, we will board the Georgetown loop narrow gauge railway, completed in 1884, and considered an engineering marvel.  As it chugs its way up the majestic Rocky Mountains, you will have great opportunities for amazing "Kodak Moments."  A short twenty minute stop in the Silver Plume will give you a chance to stretch your legs and visit the gift shop or small train museum.  Then, back on board for just a few minutes, you will disembark for a fascinating tour of the Lebanon Silver mine, where you will walk 500 feet into a mine, see a vein of silver and hear the stories of how the men from Cornwall were able to bore this tunnel by hand.  Arriving back at Devil's Gate, we will be transported into the wonderful little Village of Georgetown, where you will have lunch and be able to explore the shops and museums or perhaps an ice cream treat from the old fashion soda fountain of 1901.  Before leaving Georgetown, we will stop at the Canyon Wind Winery shop where we will enjoy wine tasting and some of Colorado's Rose, Sauvignon, or Chardonnay wines. Afterward we will return to the Hyatt, arriving at about 6:00pm.

Rocky Mountain National Park and Bear Lake Adventure

Returning to the Hyatt, we will arrive at approximately 10:30pm.
